Assign Tasks To Users
complete

Tasks could represent uploading assets, providing reviews for existing assets, uploading supporting attachments to an asset, or completing steps in the upcoming workflows/pipelines.
We would create views in the platform to allow users to see tasks assigned to themselves and other users, either as a kanban board or backlog view. We may even experiment with things like sprints and more robust project management utilities.
Alternatively, or in tandem, we will likely look at integrating with existing project management tools such as Trello, Shotgun, Jira, Favro, or other project management platforms.

Initial version is added to mudstack. For the users asking about integrations, please refer to the integration requests.

I was about to request a "request asset" feature, but this seems to encapsulate it well. It'd be great to be able to generate an asset from the very beginning in mudstack to keep everything in one place. Even better if it integrated with a slack workflow - right now we have slack workflows automating task generation for asset requests straight to Jira. If we could add a step and also add it to mudstack; that would be awesome.

Hey all— if you're not on our discord, please do join. I'm planning to do an open feedback session around this topic next week and showing a prototype of how we envision this working.
Your feedback as folks who upvoted this feature would be valuable.

We are aiming to have a first version of this out this quarter!

i think would be very useful to have everything inside one tool so the feedback is all focused on a single environment, instead of some messages on the project management, while others on mudstack and so on. Otherwise this will be just a file cloud alternative

eiti: thanks for your input. This is how we think about it as well and aligns with the feedback we've gotten from other studios too.
There is too much overload of tools being used, and nothing else directly integrates with asset management.

Please not another one. Just integrate existing project management tools.
Really no one needs more of these. You won't be able to compete with'em anyway.
