Like many programs, just the ability to manually check for a new version and an indicator that you have the most recent version (or not). Especially with the beta, it's hard to know when to restart/update etc to get the most recent version.

Hey @jpreed00! Thanks for the feedback. So with the desktop version currently
— you will always have the most recent version. There's no need to check. However, this lives on the cloud and if you had downloaded a previous version (ie. someone else uploaded a newer version since you downloaded), then we do not have a way of indicating this.
Yes, definitely an issue, but a short term one, because...
Once we have syncing from local <> cloud (phase 3), for files/folders/libraries you are synced to you will always
 have the current version, no checking/restarting etc needed, unless
 you have started working on a file locally. 
In that case, it will stop the auto sync for that file to avoid any file overwrites and in case of conflict, you'll have several ways to resolve them.
